Important: Saving Game. You should finish the game. At least one of your questions will be answered. Unless you want to have it spoiled, that is. Several of these things are answered in game. Anyway, I'll keep playing and hopefully we'll have some questions answered Interact it with to continue. You'll teleport to the west room. It's safe, and you'll want to throw the lever between the beds. Save again if you've made it so far, then exit the room. You'll want to head toward the northwest room, but each doorway is guarded by a mine.
Again, avoid the very center of the doorway. Move as slow as you possibly can. The northwest room contains a lever that will immediately disable all traps within the entire house, and this should be your first action. You also activate a Waypoint Portal, but the more important prize is in a small box on the desk to the right of the portal.
The box always contains the same item: a Phantom Protection Amulet. You do not need to wear it; simply having it in your inventory is good enough. With the house's defenses deactivated, you need to loot the heck out of it. Another very important item is in the southwest room of the top floor, between the beds and near the lever. It's called the Titan Dictionary, and though collecting it doesn't change any quests, it will come in handy soon.
On the lower floor, look near the fireplace to the right of the stairs. An item called Zandalor's Scroll sits on the floor. Collect it, then stand on the large stone in front of the mirror portal on that floor.
Read Zandalor's Scroll from your inventory while standing there. If you're in the right spot, a hatch door will appear near the dining table. Use the mirror portal to return to the basement. Speak to any of the servants, and ask them about the treasure chest that you couldn't open on the second floor.
They'll give you the proper answer. Then, speak to them again and tell them the way forward is clear. This resolves The Hunt in Hunter's Edge. Head back upstairs so you can access that treasure chest you couldn't open before, now that you have the solution. Note that your characters might complain that they're scared of the mines going off, but rest assured that there are no mines anymore; it's just a bug that they keep mentioning it. With that done, we're finished for now in Hunter's Edge.
We'll start to explore a different area in the next part of the walkthrough. Divinity: Original Sin Wiki Guide. Last Edited: 4 Nov pm. Was this guide helpful? YES NO. In This Wiki Guide. Set in suburban Chicago in the late s, the story centers on ten-year-old Jake Doyle's Fegley herculean quest to get the latest and greatest video game system for Christmas. Trying to protect Zandalor in Aleroth from the swarms of things while he cast a spell to close the final hellish portal is maddeningly frustrating.
I have been at it for a few hours spread over a few days with no success. I play a melee fighter, with a buffed creature to help and good area spells, but I cannot get them all and Zandalor must restat the spell casting Is there some good tactic for the protection, or some trick?
I would really like to move on to the endgame. Thanks for the help. Copy Link to Clipboard. Re: protecting Zandalor i Aleroth. Joined: Mar Location: Canada. Do you have other things left to do? The easiest solution would probably be to come back at a higher level, when you have better equipment, and can do damage faster. If not, in a save before starting the final section of rifts, head back to your battle tower and upgrade enchantments particularly Increased Damage and Increased Magical Damage, and if you are hanging on to any malachite gems now is as good a time as any to use them , use any charms you may have been saving, etc.
You could first check available merchants for equipment upgrades, if you had not done so since the last time you levelled. What class is your creature?
