If so, what happened to my so-called privacy? Unless I've missed a trick along the way, there seems to be a serious shortcoming in the system. Why can't I simply specify the email addresses of those I would like to share my files with on Flickr and then email them the URL? Can anyone out there help me? Collections don't have a share this button, only sets or the whole photostream. It is locted on the top right of a sets page under the search field.
Posted ages ago. Your collections are private, so you can't share them with non-members. There is no "share this" for Collections. You should see a "share this" button on the set page, as shown in this screenshot.
If they aren't members, use Add a Guest Pass with the appropriate conditions. If so, then the Share This will not be present.
Thanks guys! While you were posting your advice, I discovered the 'Share this' button - but only on my Photostream page not my Collections page. I am now testing it to see if the Guest Pass allows a recipient to see my collections, which is more important than jumping straight into the sets or just seeing a disorganised photostream. I'll report back when I have an answer. Thanks again! No, a guest pass does not give access to the Collections page; no need to test that. It's a known issue.
Here's the link to the Flickr Ideas topic about sharing collections with a guest pass. You'll see that it's 3 years old: www. Hi again fans! Well, I've done some tests and here are the results: 1 Any guest invited through the Guest Pass can view your entire collections, including sets and details etc. Welcome to the Flickr Help Forum!

Will there be any Pro offers for Black Friday? Latest: 9 hours ago. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can share my Collection in any meaningful way, I'd be grateful, but given what I've read so far on this topic, I'm not very optimistic. So I guess my next question is which other photo sharing site will do what I was fully expecting Flickr to be able to do for me?
Unfortunately, collections currently cannot be shared, sorry. Posted months ago. What's wrong with sending out an email with this single link? Or this one? By the way, even if the "Share" button were visible on that page, you would have had to enter each person's email address by hand. Even for sets, Flickr doesn't have any way to send mass emails to multiple people at once. So I'm not sure what functionality you think is missing.
If there were a share button, it would still be easiest to "Grab The Link" and post it in an email you can send via your normal email account. I don't think she wants them viewing her photostream front page: I want them to see the entire collection but not my whole photostream in all its randomness of order as I didn't upload my pictures in any structured way.
Thanks guys, I honestly didn't know I could just send a link to the collection, I tried using the url but whenever I did I was automatically logged back in to Flickr, so thought I was only seeing it because it was accessing my account, but that it wouldn't show the same for others.
Topic upon topic that I read distinctly said you couldn't share collections, so I took that at face value as you couldn't share collections. To me, sharing via a 'share' button and sharing via an email link are the same thing. I didn't know there was a difference. Glad it worked for you.
