Parking at the main entrance is more convenient but also busier than any other access point. By parking here you will begin your hike up Gorge Trail from the lowest elevation and climb steps to reach Upper entrance, before returning on Indian Trail downhill back to the main parking lot. There is one small car park right at the visitor center but a larger car park on the opposite side of Franklin Street will accommodate far more vehicles.
Personally, we paid to park at this car park because we arrived before sunrise to beat the crowds and knew we would spend more than 2 hours inside.
